vim on new machine

If you are playing with VI command on new machine, you will notice and pressing direction keys on keyboard will insert letters (C,D etc) in the opened file. To get rid of this vimrc (Parameters to vim at user level) in user home folder.

touch ~/.vimrc
echo >> set nocompatible

Keyboard will work fine once this file is created with above mentioned contents.

system wide .vimrc can be found /etc/share/vim folder.
